 How You Can Help
Our work is not possible without the financial support and solidarity of donors, like yourselves. Our donors have shown great loyalty and generosity over the years. Today funding is needed more than ever as the separation wall is completed, military incursions continue and the economy continues to deteriorate.
You can help in a variety of ways, by supporting some or all of the following:
Individual Cases - These children are seen/treated at the daycare centres, at home or at the BASR.
Medical Aids / Equipment - These include the following: eye glasses, hearing aids and hearing aid maintenance, key walker, rollator, wheelchair and wheelchair maintenance, plaster casts, splints, medical shoes and medicines. There is also a need to support orthopaedic surgery, hospitalisation, X-rays, vision and orthopaedic clinic fees, therapy services including physio, occupational and speech therapy and transport costs to get children to clinics.
Help with specific conditions - Cerebral palsy, hearing and vision impairment.
Help with skills training and equipment - Training for bee keeping, horticulture, fret working, paper-making; help with nursery school equipment such as toys.
Bed Sponsorship
As political conditions continue to deteriorate, it is becoming ever harder for families to bring their disabled children to BASR. It is not only more difficult to travel but also more expensive. Road closures and check points may turn a journey of a few miles into a matter of several hours.
Where travel is impossible, we are arranging to admit needy children to wards as inpatients instead of outpatients. Some children stay with us as long as three months. This is not an ideal situation since we are reluctant to remove a child from the family, but it is the only way to maintain regular treatment in the given circumstance.
The cost of occupying a bed in the children’s ward, inclusive of nursing care, food and daily needs is approximately £250 per month. Click here to make a donation.
