Palestinian Marathon 2017

In our most elaborate fundraiser to date, ABCD sent a team of adventurous people take part in the Palestinian Marathon on 31st March, 2017.   Our hearty group of runners completed a mix of either a full or half marathon or a 10K run depending on their abilities.

To find out how they got on, click on the button below.    It's still not too late to sponsor the team if you haven't already done so!   Just click on the Donate button above.    Many thanks!

Palestine Marathon Trip

Greenbelt Festival, 2016

In August ABCD took a stand at the Christian Greenbelt Festival at Boughton House, Northants.
We shared a stand in the G Source with Living Stones of the Holy Land Trust and Friends of Sabeel (UK).   On the stand we sold the ever popular crosses and cribs carved by young people with disabilities from the prunings of Bethlehem olive trees.   New on the stand were our Palestinian Sleepover Greetings cards and also a variety of embroidery and jewellery crafted by women in the co-operative workshops recently established in the two refugee camps – Jalazone and Nour Shams – ABCD’s new partners on the West Bank.   One of our Trustees, Firas Sarhan and our administrator, Alison Driscoll where on hand to talk about our work and plans.

The Georgina Mortimer Memorial

Georgina Mortimer was the co-founder of ABCD with Val Jourdan, MBE and sadly passed away last year.

The objective of this Appeal is to raise funds for a permanent memorial to Georgina by providing, at BASR and in both Camps, new and state of the art facilites for the rehabilitation of children.  The target is £50,000.
